From an early age I had an interest in drawing and creating. Growing up on a small farm, I spent hours exploring outdoors, letting my imagination carry me away. Creating art was, and still is my vessel for pure imagination and inspiration. I began drawing with charcoals, and eventually explored painting with acrylics, which brought forth a whole new exciting world of possibilities. I love the realism and photographic precision of charcoal, bringing an image to life. I discovered pure freedom with abstract painting and have truly found a passion in creating. I am inspired by nature, culture and the world around me. I draw ideas for my art in simple ways; from the way a raindrop hits a surface, to a song I might be listening to. It brings me a great sense of happiness to add a piece of my art to a room and seeing it make the space come alive.
